The year 2009

Wow I really can't believe that the year 2009 is already here!! Christmas has came and gone. It was a blast and we were very blessed to have my parents and 2 nephews here with us. It was so much fun even though such a short visit!!

Hunter has started back to school now. I am glad that break is over. He was getting too bored and starting to miss his friends. He got a lot of really neat stuff for Christmas. I am trying to get him out riding his bike while we have nice weather(yeah it feels like fall instead of winter around here right now). He is one of those kids that would rather have his nose stuck in a computer or his DS. Crazy kid!!

John has to have surgery on Monday(1-12-09). His shoulder will be taken care of though. I just hope that it doesn't take that long for him to be able to get back to work.....cause i know it will drive him nuts not being out there. I am going to do my best to take care of him while he is home with us though.

Hadleigh and I are doing great too. She is talking so much more now and has quite the little imagination. She loves too "cook" and play with her babies. She got a nursery set for Christmas and has to take her babies everywhere we go now.

I am just kinda here still. Not too much new with me. I got a Wii Fit for Christmas.....so I am trying to get in shape with that. Though right now I can hardly walk due to my body not being used to lunges lol

My SIL had her babies!! They are so cute and tiny!! Jeremy Jason James Barrett and Jaylee Joan Perry Barrett were born December 23rd. We got to go see them the same night. I was up there for about 3hrs with my SIL and I swear to you as soon as I had to head back home(2hrs away) she started to have them. I told her see all I had to do was leave way earlier lol I haven't seen them since.....but plan to make a visit soon.

Til next time

6 days left

I am still in awe of how fast Christmas has came this year for us!! It really snuck up on me. We are staying home this year. I am ready for it to be over. I don't understand why Christmas has to be so stressful for some people.....but I am usually one of the stressed people :)

My parents are going to be here for Christmas YAY. We haven't seen them since the 4th of July. I really miss my momma :) I am not sure about John's parents....I think they will be in Texas for Christmas?? But we will see them before or after. My SIL could have her twins anyday now. She isn't due til my bday but she could go anytime.

The kids are so excited this year. I think it is neat watching them when they really understand Christmas for the first time. I love watching their faces when they find out that they have gotten something on their list.

Though this year my son asked for some pretty pricy stuff. He is NUTS I tell ya!!

Hunter's List

X-Box 360
Go Kart
Trampoline
Laptop computer
a mini fridge for his room
digital camera like mommy's
video camera
a new bike
for his friend Chloe to move back here(she just moved away)
rocket launcher
ds games

that is all i can read from his list....he is crazy lol

Hadleigh's List(when asked)
Dora
Bug Juice
snow
barbie
horse
babydoll

Hadleigh keeps talking about Santa coming to our house. She is super excited. Hunter is afraid that he will only get coal cause of this being a rough year for him. He is doing a little better now that daddy is back home.

Whats New?

Well, John is home now!! He graduated first in his class from the Police Academy. I am so proud of him. He made a lot of really awesome friends there too. Through him I made a new friend from there too :)

Hunter is doing awesome in school. He just turned 7 on the 11th. I think back to when he was born and wonder how he is so big already!! Hunter is my little reader and LOVES to read the bedtime story to his sister at night. I don't get to read much to them anymore lol

Hadleigh is getting so big too. She is 28mths old now. She is talking so much more now. Now she can count to 10 and we are working on ABC's. She knows most of her colors and a whole bunch of animal sounds. But if you ask her what a turtle says, she will say "Don't know" lol Hunter used to say "ba dum ba dum" was what a turtle said hee hee

I am still working on my photography as I go. I love doing it, but finding time sometimes is the problem. There isn't a lot that is new with me though. Maybe I will have something interesting to blog about in a few days. :)
Til next time
